HPC

The HPC (Health Promotions Committee)

is made up of Lowell Wellness staff and teachers.

The HPC works to provide students with

information on wellness issues. Already

this year, the HPC has provided students

with an opportunity to learn more about

various health topics such as: STDs/AIDS

 Awareness, Violence Prevention, LGBT

issues, and Tobacco Use Prevention. In

the future, the HPC will cover Nutrition and

Fitness, Prom Pressures, Gay Pride and

 Diversity, and Substance Abuse/Alternative

to Drugs. The HPC works closely with the YOWs

(the student voices of the Wellness Center) to make

sure the issues presented are something in which

Lowell students have shown interest or concern.
