WHAT IS THE WELLNESS CENTER???

SO YOU’VE HEARD that the Wellness Center is where people go when they have stuff going on in their lives that are stressing them out and they need someone to talk to. Maybe it’s where you know to go when you’re sick and you want to go home. You’re right, we are for those things: however, the Wellness Center is also a whole lot more.

LOOKING FOR A QUIET SPACE to do your homework? Maybe you just want to sit on a comfy couch and listen to music. Or you didn’t get enough sleep last night and want a place to rest. The Wellness Center IS used for all of these things, and you are welcome to come join the students who already regularly visit for these reasons.

YOUR HEALTH PROJECT has just been assigned in your health class and you need a place to collect information. The Wellness Center has information on a wide variety of health topics. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, let us know and we’ll help you find what you need.

YOU WANT MONEY for the summer, but you don’t know where to look for a job. We can connect you to youth employment opportunities all over San Francisco and the Bay Area-come find out for yourself.

COLLEGE IS JUST AROUND the corner and you still have questions. There are community-based organizations (free to you) around San Francisco that would love to work with you. Also, the Wellness Center staff members can be great resources since most of us were in college not too long ago.

SEX OR DRUG QUESTIONS you’re too uncomfortable to ask out loud can be answered through our pamphlets and hotline numbers we have waiting for you in the Wellness Center. Take what you want, no questions asked.
